Human
Rights
|
- Starvation
- Poverty
- Disease
- Repression
- Exploitation
Most
of us in the West believe the world to be a wondrous place filled
with plasma TVs, SUVs, and luxury holidays, yet half the population
of the planet struggles for food to eat. The problems stemming from
poverty and disease, for example, are so overwhelming that it's
hard for the average person to comprehend just how widespread they
are and how many people's daily lives involve nothing but suffering.
As its story progresses, 'What if...?' explores these disturbing
issues, revealing a nightmare world of which most of us are blissfully
unaware.
These
sites helped with my research on Human Rights. The presence of these
links does not mean these organisations endorse 'What if
?',
nor that I endorse these organisations - they are included merely
for readers to explore the issues 'What if
?' raises,
should they so wish.
